Reforms in electoral politics imposed on Bangladesh democracy is sweeping.

1. No wall writing
2. No political procession before 2pm
3. Only black and white poster
4. No advertisement in Cable and news paper
4. Voters can put a x against a candidate instead of voting him giving him negative vote.

These are welcome change in democracy to corner system of contractors who appoint our democratic leaders by proxy. Bangladesh EC ensured these new rules are being followed.

With the history of 20th century, there is no doubt, democracy is the only form of political system that has worked out progress of a country maintaining human values amidst worst genocides by dictatorial rules. Democracy is never perfect and it is a system defined only in its evolution from a less perfect to more perfect democracy. With this changes in Bangladesh, I am hopeful, the country would march forward to a vibrant democracy solving its perennial problem of poverty and mass illiteracy while eliminating rising force of fundamentalism. I know it will take time but at the end a prosperous Bangladesh would emerge from four decades of suffering from its birth. I am also confident, passionate and patriotic people of Bangladesh, would not derail electoral reform and this new hope of a democratic society.

I think in India too, we must demand option of crossing against corrupt candidate -that will attract a lot more voters into polling.
